1. Who we are

SenseLogic is a sole proprietorship based in Belgium. For the purposes of the GDPR, SenseLogic is the data controller responsible for processing personal data collected through this website.

2. What we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to send us, or that our server needs in order to deliver the site securely.

  • Contact form. If you use the form on the homepage, we receive your name, email address, and message. That submission is stored in our database and also forwarded by email to contact@senselogic.be. We may send you an automated acknowledgement to the address you provided.
  • Emails sent directly to contact@senselogic.be. If you write to us outside the form, we process whatever information you include in that correspondence.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting environment may automatically record technical information such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and time of access. These logs are used for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention—not for marketing profiles.

We do not ask for payment details, government identifiers, or special-category data through this website. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the contact form unless it is strictly necessary for your request.

3. Why we process it

  • To answer your enquiry and continue the conversation about a possible project or collaboration.
  • To keep a record of business communications when we start or evaluate work together.
  • To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
  • To meet bookkeeping and other legal duties that apply to a Belgian business when a commercial relationship exists.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your contact details for advertising networks or third-party marketing.

5. How long we keep it

  • Contact form enquiries are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your request. If no further correspondence occurs, they are typically deleted within 12 months, unless they become part of an active project file.
  • Project, contract, and invoicing records are kept for the retention periods required under Belgian commercial and tax law.
  • Server logs are kept only for a short operational window, unless a longer period is needed to investigate a security incident.
  • Browser local storage used for the privacy notice (see below) remains until you clear it yourself.

6. Who receives it

Access is limited to SenseLogic. Depending on the situation, the following categories of recipients may also process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:

  • Our website and database hosting provider.
  • Our email service used to send and receive messages related to contact@senselogic.be.
  • Accountants, lawyers, or public authorities when that is necessary for compliance or to protect our rights.

We do not intentionally transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area for website contact handling. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, we will rely on an adequate transfer mechanism required by GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. Cookies & local storage

This public website does not use tracking cookies and does not load Google Analytics or similar analytics products.

When you dismiss the privacy notice, we store a simple flag in your browser local storage (cookieConsent) so the notice is not shown again on later visits. That value stays on your device; it is not sent to an advertising platform.

You can remove it at any time by clearing site data for senselogic.be in your browser settings. Separate session cookies may be used only for the protected administration area of the site. They are not used to track public visitors.

8. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA (or otherwise protected by GDPR), you may ask us to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Erase data, or restrict how we use it, when the law allows
Receive data you provided to us in a portable format
Object to processing, when the law allows
Withdraw consent, where applicable

To exercise these rights, email contact@senselogic.be and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit): www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.
